Our Story: Bahamas Unchartered

Welcome to Bahamas Uncharted. If you found your way to this corner of the internet, chances are you are looking for something more out of your vacation than a crowded cruise line excursion, a packed tour bus, or a cookie-cutter resort package.

We created this site just for you, to help you feel more comfortable in planning a vacation off the beaten path, and to help you explore the beauty of the Bahamas.

My wife and I had the amazing opportunity to live in Nassau before having kids. So although we are far from locals, especially in some of the outer islands, we’ve spent a lot of time in the Bahamas over the years and now vacation there multiple times a year.

I’ll admit, in some ways this website is an answer to the many visitors that come to Nassau either by cruise ship or to one of the main resorts and leave with a disappointed view of the Bahamas. To them, I would say they didn’t really see the Bahamas and the amazing beauty it offers.

But not everyone enjoys the same things! My family loves beautiful deserted beaches, top-notch snorkling, remote beach bars and unique water adventures like turtle and sting ray experiences. But not touristy experiences where you are amongst groups of tourists, but experiences where you are alone in the wild with the animals. We also are huge fans of lobster fishing!
